Wyatt Flores will release “Drive All Night” this Friday, the song that lends its name to his most recent headlining tour, which wrapped up earlier this month. The single is his first since “Running On E,” which dropped on March 20th
Where “Running On E” leaned into self-awareness and emotional burnout, Flores singing candidly about being the wrong person for someone, “Drive All Night” takes the opposite angle. It’s an R&B-indebted declaration of devotion. The chorus runs:
I’ll drive all night / picture on my dashboard / pedal to the floor ’til I’m by your side / I’ll drive all night / I ain’t getting no rush ’til I’m in your bed / not just on your mind / but don’t question if I really want you baby / if you tell me to / I’ll drive all night
The Drive All Night Tour kicked off March 29 in Little Rock and has been running since, with support from The Droptines, Kashus Culpepper, Pepe Lil Burro Jr., and Noah Rinker on rotating dates. The run continues through the summer, wrapping in early August.
“Drive All Night” is available on all streaming platforms Friday, May 1st; as of yet, there’s no word on his second full-length studio album,
