George Strait has announced a one-night stadium performance at Clemson’s Memorial Stadium, known as “Death Valley,” on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026. The in-the-round show, joined by openers Cody Johnson and Wyatt Flores, will mark the venue’s first concert since 1999, when Strait himself headlined. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. ET on October 31st, 2025.
Strait, known for his stage presence and sets exceeding two hours, stated, “Going back to Death Valley for the first time in more than 25 years feels pretty special. Can’t wait to see you, Clemson!”
In 2024, Strait limited his live appearances to a handful of one-off stadium shows, including a record-breaking performance at Texas A&M’s Kyle Field that drew 110,905 attendees—one of the largest single-ticketed concerts in U.S. history. He followed with five shows in 2025 at venues in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Foxborough’s Gillette Stadium, and Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium.
Strait’s 2025 also includes recognition at the 47th Annual Kennedy Center Honors in December and induction into the Texas Songwriters Hall of Fame in early 2026. His 31st studio album, Cowboys And Dreamers, released in 2024, debuted as his 27th #1 on the Billboard Country albums chart.
As the “King of Country Music,” Strait holds over 100 million RIAA certifications and more than 60 major awards. He has co-written many of his own hits, such as “Here For a Good Time.” He also regularly supports causes through his events, raising millions for veterans and children’s organizations, including recent presentations of homes to wounded heroes.
