In response to the devastating floods that have ravaged Texas’s Hill Country, country music legend George Strait and his longtime business partner Tom Cusick are stepping up to support their community with a special benefit dinner and concert, “Strait To The Heart,” set to take place at the Estancia at Thunder Valley indoor arena in Boerne, Texas, set to take place on Sunday, July 27th at 6:30pm
The catastrophic flooding has left entire communities in ruin, with families mourning the loss of loved ones and struggling to rebuild. Strait, a proud Texan, expressed his deep sorrow for those affected. “The destruction and loss in our community from the recent flood is hard to wrap your head around,” Strait said. “Our hearts and prayers are with you all. The goal with this event is to raise meaningful, immediate support that can be put directly into the hands of flood victims without delay, while also honoring the first responders that work tirelessly to save lives.”
The event will feature an all-star lineup of performers, including William Beckmann, Ray Benson, Wade Bowen, Dean Dillon, Riley Green, Randy Houser, Jamey Johnson, Kyle Park, Hudson Westbrook, and members of Strait’s Ace in the Hole Band. “Special thanks to our friends and fellow troubadours for joining me on stage to lend their talent and their hearts to this mission,” Strait added.
Tom Cusick, Strait’s partner in the Vaqueros del Mar organization, emphasized the urgency of the cause. “The road ahead will be a long one, however the immediate need is so great that we didn’t want to wait. Together, we can show our neighbors that when hardship strikes, Texas and our Country stand strong, and we stand together.”
Due to the intimate setting of the venue, the event is limited to 1,000 guests. Tickets and tables are available for purchase, with prices starting at $1,000. In a heartfelt gesture, complimentary tickets will be provided to local first responders in recognition of their tireless efforts. All proceeds will benefit the 501c3 Vaqueros del Mar Texas Flood Relief Fund, with funds distributed directly to affected families and established Hill Country relief organizations.
