Colter Wall announced his new single, “Back to Me,” set for release next Friday, October 17th. The announcement included a slideshow of black-and-white studio photographs, showing Wall and his band, the Scary Prairie Boys, during recording sessions. The song, characterized by Wall’s deep baritone and pedal steel accents gives this song an old school feel that’s both traditional and nostalgic.

“Back to Me” is the third single from Wall’s forthcoming album, Memories and Empties, due November 14th. The album’s lead single, “1,800 Miles,” released on September 26th, critiques the mainstream music scene with lyrics like, “You won’t hear it on your radio / It’s 1,800 miles from Music Row.” Wall previously shared an acoustic clip of the song in August, establishing its outsider ethos. The album’s vinyl edition is available for pre-order at colterwall.com.

Wall is currently touring, with performances scheduled in Medicine Hat, Alberta, tonight and Edmonton tomorrow. His recently-announced 2026 tour includes a Texas run with support from Hayden Redwine, featuring two nights each in Austin (starting January 16) and Houston, concluding in Fort Worth on January 24th. Thus-far, no other tour dates have been announced ahead of Memories and Empties’s release.
