Waylon Wyatt and Wyatt Flores announced a new duet, “Didn’t Forget,” on Tuesday morning, sharing via social media, “Didn’t Forget… 2/20.” The announcement comes within a week of Waylon Wyatt posting a throwback clip of the two performing together at a festival, hinting that there “might be something coming up soon.”

The track marks the first formal collaboration between the two red dirt-influenced performers, each of whom have seen momentous rises thanks to grassroots interest in the midwestern alt-country scene. For his part, Wyatt Flores has become one of the best-known names in the space, with a wise-beyond-his-years discography and relentless touring schedule. Most recently, he finished his year-long “Welcome to the Plains” run, and will embark on his “Driving All Night” tour come April.

Still in his teenage years, Waylon Wyatt has stood out as one of the most impressive young talents in all of country music, steadily developing his artistry with every new release. Most recently, his collaborations with Ian Fitchuck (Kacey Musgraves) have pointed towards a sophisticated, technically sound artist with the songs to back it up. He’ll also be hitting the road this summer on his “Everywhere Under the Sun” summer tour starting in April.

“Don’t Forget” will be out everywhere this Friday.
