Texas-based rock-country outfit Treaty Oak Revival has set the music scene ablaze with their July 9, 2025, X post, boldly announcing, “Just so y’all know…WE ARE PUTTING OUT A NEW FUCKIN RECORD THIS YEAR! THIS YEAR DAMMIT!” This fiery statement confirms their third studio album, following their 2023 breakout Have a Nice Day, is slated for release before year’s end. With their signature blend of Red Dirt country and early 2000s pop-punk, the band, led by rabble-rousing vocalist Sam Canty, the excitement for a new LP has never been higher.

We’re breaking down everything we know so far in a comprehensive timeline below (updated as events warrant):

January 6: Treaty Oak Revival shared a studio photo on X, captioned “So it begins #album3,” marking the start of recording. A notebook in the image bore the words “Stay Awhile,” fueling speculation about a potential song or album title.

February 14: The band dropped “Bad State of Mind,” a raw, emo-tinged single with confessional lyrics about mental struggles. It soared to No. 1 on Billboard’s Bubbling Under chart and was performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live, hinting at a heavier rock direction for the album. This followed their September 13, 2024, release of “Happy Face,” an angsty, punk-rock-infused track, both likely tied to the new record.

March 20: In an interview with Country Central, the band shared a simple declaration regarding their third album: “It’s coming.”

June 29: Bassist Andrew Carey announced his departure due to the physical and mental toll of touring, confirming his work would still appear on the album. No replacement has been named, leaving fans curious about the band’s next steps.

July 9: The band reaffirmed their 2025 release goal via X, though any further details are still under wraps:

The album follows a breakout 2024, with over 500 million Spotify streams, a Billboard Music Award nomination, and performances at the biggest festivals in the country, including Lollapalooza, Stagecoach, and Bonnaroo. In the meantime, Have a Nice Day is still giving the band plenty of mileage; on July 3th, “Fishnets” was certified gold by the RIAA for surpassing 500,000 units sold.
