The Red Clay Strays have announced the release of their next single, “If I Didn’t Know You,” the band’s first official love song since their breakout hit “Wondering Why.”

The new track is set to arrive Thursday, February 12th, accompanied by a music video starring comedian and actor Matt Rife. The band shared the announcement on Instagram, saying, “Hard to believe this’ll be our first love song released since Wondering Why. Our next single drops Thursday, February 12th, with a kickass music video starring our buddy @mattrife. Gonna be a good Valentine’s this year.”

In a brief clip shared alongside the announcement, we get a feel for the soulful ballad with a snippet from the chorus, where Brandon Coleman belt, “If I didn’t know you I wouldn’t know how to love, I wouldn’t know how it feels to be someone’s only one.”

Speculation around the release began earlier in the week after the band posted a teaser video showing Rife listening to the song while riding on a bus.

Over the last year, the Red Clay Strays’ ascent has been nothing short of momentous, as they checked one box after another previously unattainable to bands outside of the mainstream. Just since November, the band dethroned Old Dominion as Vocal Group of the Year at the CMA Awards, and announced their biggest headlining show to date at Madison Square Garden on August 26th.

The single and music video for “If I Didn’t Know You” will be released February 12th.
