Stella Lefty announced her debut album, Long Way Home, will arrive August 21st, sharing the news during her Lollapalooza debut this past Sunday in her hometown of Chicago. She also confirmed a new single from the album, “Lean In, Kiss Me,” will drop August 7th.
Lefty performed for a crowd of more than 12,000 at the festival’s Airbnb Stage, wearing a jersey emblazoned with the album’s title. The set marked a full-circle moment for the singer, who had attended Lollapalooza as a fan since she was 15. She brought out her boyfriend, country artist Vincent Mason, to perform “Something to Lose,” a track that will likely appear on the new album and is currently climbing the Billboard Hot 100.
Long Way Home follows Lefty’s May EP, Is This Heaven?, which featured her viral breakout single “Boston.” The lead-up to her debut album caps a breakout year for the 23-year-old, which has included more than 370 million streams, over a billion video views, a sold-out headline tour and a takeover moment at CMA Fest.
