On Tuesday, Riley Green sent fans into a frenzy with a mysterious email blast hinting at big news. The Alabama-born singer-songwriter, known for his down-home storytelling and rural roots, revealed that the deluxe edition of his third studio album, Don’t Mind If I Do, is set to drop on Friday, August 29th featuring six new songs. The announcement, cloaked in a playful puzzle, has just added fuel to what has become a banner year for the newly minted A-lister.
In the email sent out on Tuesday, Green challenged his fans to unscramble a cryptic message: “NTDO DINM FI I OD XUEELD TOU GUUTSA 92.” The solution, as fans quickly deduced, points to the deluxe edition release of Don’t Mind If I Do. Green sweetened the deal by encouraging fans to share their guesses on Instagram Stories and tag him, with a promise that one lucky participant will win an autographed vinyl album. “Something’s coming soon,” Green teased in the email. “I’ve got some news to share, but I want to see if you can guess it first.”
The original Don’t Mind If I Do album, released last October, has already made waves, peaking at number eight on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and number 25 on the Billboard 200. Featuring 18 tracks, including standout singles like “Worst Way” and the Ella Langley duet “Don’t Mind If I Do,” the album showcases Green’s signature blend of heartfelt ballads and rowdy, small-town anthems.
Green’s announcement comes on the heels of a stellar year, marked by the grand opening of his Nashville bar, Duck Blind, where he first shared news of the original album’s release. The Don’t Mind If I Do title track, released as a radio single on July 21st, is currently climbing the country radio charts and earned Platinum certification in the U.S.
