Chattanooga, Tennessee’s Jonas Conner shared recently that his new single “Too Young, Too Dumb” will be released this Friday, July 15th. The 15-year-old singer-songwriter, already recognized for his emotionally charged singles “Father in a Bible” and “Peace with Pain,” shared a video performance of the track, captioned, “I wrote this song about not feeling good enough.”
The Instagram video features Conner performing with just his voice and guitar, showcasing lyrics that delve into feelings of inadequacy and introspection: “I wake up at a quarter to 10. My head’s on fire and the room’s all spun. Don’t ask me how it’s going. Oh, it’s been a week, and I don’t even have to know anyone, anybody to see.”
Conner, who, despite having only two songs out in the world, continues to stack wins with millions of streams and a growing TikTok presence. Produced by Cameron Whitcomb, his previous singles have resonated widely, earning endorsements from artists like LeAnn Rimes. “Too Young, Too Dumb” appears to continue this trajectory, offering a poignant exploration of self-doubt.
“Too Young, Too Dumb” will be out everywhere this Friday.
