Hudson Westbrook has announced a new single, “Made You Look,” due out next Friday. The Stephenville native shared a clip of the track on Instagram ahead of the release.
The preview offers an early look at what appears to be a classic pickup-line premise, right in line with his most recent hit “Painted You Pretty:”
“Said you don’t do Texas, got too many exes / To talk in a accent just like me / Said you’ve been here, done that / Hung up your hat / Already saw what you needed to see / But you let me buy that drink in your hand / Checked yes to a midnight dance / I made you look / Little deeper in your heart if there’s room to / Made you look like you’re likin’ what you’re seein’ / Runnin’ out of reasons not to / I can already tell that you already / Fell for the oldest trick in the book / Made you look”
Westbrook broke through in 2024 with the viral hit “Take It Slow” while still working at a feed store and enrolled as an energy commerce major at Texas Tech University, parlaying that into hits at Texas country radio before dropping out to pursue music full-time in the fall of 2025.
His debut studio album Texas Forever was released in July of last year, with Westbrook co-writing all 17 tracks. “Painted You Pretty” followed as the album’s second radio single in March 2026. He has touring dates on the books for 2026 opening for George Strait, Morgan Wallen, and Bailey Zimmerman.
“Made You Look” is out next Friday, August 14th.
