Country-turned-rock star HARDY has announced his next album, entitled COUNTRY! COUNTRY!, will be released on September 26th. In an Instagram post, the artist shared the cover art for the project and a new snippet of his next single, “Bottomland,” which is slated for release this Friday.
The project marks the Mississippi native’s return to his country roots following a short stint in the rock world, with both the latter half of The Mockingbird and The Crow and the full Quit!! The project gave him a chance to experiment with more electrifying sounds.
This time around, Hardy will be diving back into the world of country, with a “refreshed” dose of inspiration, according to a press release. The project shares a similar name to his COUNTRY! EP that dropped back in May, which featured five songs laced with similar acoustics to some of Hardy’s earlier work. According to the snippets we’ve heard, “Bottomland” seems to share a similar modern country flair, giving us a stronger indication that Rock & Roll Hardy is taking a break for this record.
The album is set to explore themes of youth, growing up in the Mississippi mud, commentary on the state of country music, and more.
Ahead of its release this September, Hardy will be continuing a momentous 2025 run. He’s continuing the Jim Bob World Tour later this month with both headline and festival dates on the calendar, leading up to his first show at Madison Square Garden on September 24. He also made his first appearance at the Grade Ole Opry earlier this year. His latest single, “Favorite Country Song,” was the most-added single the week it debuted at country radio and is quickly climbing the charts.
