As part of the announcement for HIXTAPE 3, HARDY released covers of the Joe Diffie classics “John Deere Green” featuring Morgan Wallen and himself, and “Pickup Man” featuring Post Malone. Both songs are currently available on all streaming platforms following their performance at the CMA Awards.
This is the third edition of HARDY’s HIXTAPE project. The first edition was released in 2019 and included the smash hit “He Went To Jared” alongside Morgan Wallen; the second volume was released two years later in 2021. HARDY has brought in Morgan Wallen on the past two projects, but this is the first time Post Malone has been featured.
Post Malone has been teasing his fans with making a country project for years. During a live stream in 2021, he covered songs by Brad Paisley and Sturgill Simpson while performing with Dwight Yokam’s backing band. Malone has also publicly said he’s a fan of the genre and has an interest in eventually producing an album with country elements.
