George Strait has announced two additional in-the-round shows at Austin’s Moody Center, expanding his limited 2026 performing plans on April 9th and 11th at the same venue. The newly added dates are May 15th and 16th, with tickets going on sale Friday, January 30, at 10 a.m. local time via georgestrait.com. Fans can follow the link in Strait’s story for a presale code beginning tomorrow (January 28th) at 10am CT.
The King will be joined by William Beckmann on the April run, and Carter Faith for the May dates.
The Austin performances arrive alongside Strait’s previously announced stadium dates this year in Clemson, South Carolina, and Lubbock, Texas. Fans attending the Moody Center shows can expect a rare, more intimate concert experience, with Strait performing center stage in the round.
With Strait now playing fewer shows annually, each appearance has become a major event. In 2024, his one-off stadium performance at Texas A&M’s Kyle Field drew 110,905 fans, becoming one of the largest single-ticketed concerts in U.S. history. He followed that milestone with just five live shows in 2025, stopping in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Foxborough, and Los Angeles.
A member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, Strait remains the most commercially successful artist in country music history, with more than 100 million RIAA certifications and a record-extending 27 No. 1 albums on Billboard’s Country chart. Even more than four decades into his career, his live performances continue to draw historic crowds and critical acclaim.
