Ernest has announced the release of a new single, “Lorelei,” due out this Friday, which will serve as the first offering from his upcoming album. While full details of that forthcoming record have not yet been revealed, the artist’s use of the hashtag “Deep Blue” suggests that we may already know the upcoming project’s name.
This project comes on the heels of Ern’s Live From the South project and its accompanying tour, which were right on brand with his 90s-indebted throwback style; time will tell if “Lorelei” continues that trend or if he follows his more contemporary leanings into the next era.
Outside of his regular output, Ernest has also stayed busy developing Deville Records’ roster on his very own imprint under Big Loud Records. This past year, he, alongside his signees, released a collaborative project called Cadillac Sessions, which united Cody Lohden, Rhys Rutherford, and Chandler Walters for a mixtape of original cuts and cover songs. The “Live From the South” tour will run through April with these three artists opening select dates.
“Lorelei will be out everywhere this Friday.
