Garth Brooks has announced his new “Blame It All On My Roots” arena tou with tickets for the first shows going on sale later this month.
The announcement was shared via a statement from Team Garth: “The wait is over… Garth Brooks is kicking off the Blame It All On My Roots Tour! The first stop is Indianapolis, Indiana!”
The tour opens with a two-night stand at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, on August 21st and 22nd. Additional tour dates have not yet been announced. Tickets for the Indianapolis shows go on sale via Ticketmaster on July 17 at 10 a.m. ET.
Brooks revealed the tour on Instagram with a video showing him approaching the drum pod that defined his touring during the 1996-1998 Garth Brooks World Tour, asking, “How long has it been, old girl? Thirty years?” That earlier run, known as the Drum Pod Tour, produced the live album Double Live, which the Recording Industry Association of America has certified 25-times platinum.
Shows on the new tour will feature both end-stage and in-the-round seating. In a statement, Brooks said, “Going back into the arenas is about putting the stadium show in a box. The excitement gets multiplied by the intimacy. Every seat is a great seat. This is personal.”
Brooks is also recording the tour’s performances for a live album titled Killer Live. The announcement follows Brooks’s show at BST Hyde Park on June 27th, which drew more than 70,000 fans
