Ella Langley has announced the release of a new song titled “Be Her,” set to arrive this Friday, February 13th. She previewed the track with a brief teaser clip on social media, offering fans an early look at a verse.

In the snippet, Langley sketches a portrait of a self-assured woman, opening with the lines: “She drinks wine by the glass, not by the bottle / She ain’t stuck on the past, ain’t worried about tomorrow.” The teaser continues with character-driven imagery, describing someone who is “a lover, a mother, a sister and wife” who “don’t need validation or much of anything.”

“Be Her” arrives as Langley continues the rollout of her forthcoming sophomore album, Dandelion, due April 10th. Executive produced by Langley alongside Miranda Lambert and Ben West, Langley has described the new record as her most personal and fully realized body of work to date.

“This record has so much growth in it,” Langley said in a statement when the album was announced“I’ve never poured more of myself into a project… It’s about learning yourself, making mistakes, and realizing that it’s all just part of life.”

Dandelion is the latest achievement for what’s already a banner year for Langley. Her latest single “Choosin’ Texas” is currently #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, with hundreds of millions of combined accrued streams. She’ll also be hitting the road on the “Dandelion” tour in support of the album this summer, with support from Dylan Marlowe, Kameron Marlowe, and more.

“Be Her” will be out everywhere this Friday.
