Zach Top debuted a new, previously unreleased track called “Good Girls and Cowgirls” live at the Under the Big Sky Festival in Montana; today, he confirmed on Instagram that its official release will come on August 21st.
The song plays off a contrast between two archetypes of women, one predictable and sweet, the other wild and untamed, building its hook around the idea that “good girls” are the type you settle down with, while “cowgirls” bring a rowdier, less refined energy.

The debut comes in the middle of a massive year for Top. The Sunnyside, Washington-raised singer won Best Traditional Country Album at the 2026 Grammy Awards for his sophomore record, Ain’t In It For My Health, becoming the inaugural recipient of that newly introduced category. Top was also nominated across five categories at the 61st ACM Awards, including Male Artist of the Year and Song of the Year for “I Never Lie.”
He’s currently in the midst of his extensive “Cold Beer & Country Music” tour, which has since expanded to more than 35 dates running from April through October, including stadium support slots with George Strait and Chris Stapleton, plus a headline debut at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena set for October 30th.
“Good Girls and Cowgirls” will be out everywhere next month, August 21st.
