Wyatt Flores recently took to Instagram to announce his upcoming single featuring The Castellows, “Sober Sundays,” to be released Friday, July 26th. The track was previously teased on Flores’s Instagram account a week before this announcement, in which we saw the Oklahoman harmonizing in the studio with the trio of sisters who have recently taken the country world by storm.
“This collaboration doesn’t exist just because that’s the current trend,” Flores said in his announcement. “I had the honor of sitting down and writing this beautiful song with Ellie, Lily, and Powell. This song means so much to me, and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to work with the girls. I hope you love this song as much as I do!”
Flores has been on a roll within the past few months. After a break from the road earlier this year to prioritize his mental health, he just announced his new headlining tour, where he’ll be joined by Evan Honer, JR Carroll, and Noeline Hoffman. Authenticity in his prose paired with a rasp unmatched in country music has made a pretty pair in the form of this Plainsman.

More than that, a move like this only emphasizes his want and willingness to pair with upcoming artists outside his state lines. The Castellows hit the radar of country music fans in 2022 when their social media presence began gaining traction. Earlier this year, they released their first EP titled “A Little Goes A Long Way,” where six of the seven tracks were written or co-written by a group member.
This release follows Flores’s collaboration with Jake Kohn, “Before I Do,” which appears on the soundtrack of the new movie Twisters. The Castellows are less than a month removed from their most recent release, “Miss America,” only their eighth released track to date. Both Flores and The Castellows have yet to announce an upcoming full-length project.
