This morning, Waylon Wyatt announced the release of his new single, “Wishbone,” set for release on Friday, September 5th. The 18-year-old singer-songwriter from Arkansas shared an image depicting a rustic bedroom with a cowboy hat resting on a striped blanket, featuring the song title “Wishbone” prominently displayed.

Wyatt, known for previous releases such as “Everything Under the Sun” and “Arkansas Diamond,” has gained recognition for his unadorned songwriting and distinctive vocal style. The upcoming single marks his latest project as he prepares for the Out of the Blue Tour, scheduled to begin on September 5 in Fayetteville, AR, and extend through November with scheduled performances across the U.S. and Canada. The tour will showcase his evolving catalog, including material from his forthcoming second EP, Out of the Blue.

The artist, who began his recording career in his childhood kitchen following the loss of his older brother, has steadily built a following with his authentic approach to country music. His debut EP, recorded in a home setting, laid the foundation for his current work, which now includes professional studio sessions for the new EP. “Wishbone” is anticipated to reflect his established sound, though specific details about the track’s content or production were not included in the announcement.

Wishbone will be out everywhere next Friday.
