Treaty Oak Revival announced on Friday that after much teasing, their third studio album, West Texas Degenerate, will be released on Friday, November 28th.
The announcement, posted to the band’s X account, featured the album’s cover art depicting a large anthropomorphic rabbit figure adorned with antlers and graffiti, positioned amid a desolate West Texas landscape of oil derricks, a weathered pickup truck, and signage referencing local landmarks such as the “World Famous Jack Rabbit” in Odessa. A welder appears to be repairing the statue, set against a fiery sunset sky with scattered debris and explosive motifs.
Formed in Odessa, the band has built a following blending country and southern rock influences. Their previous release, The Talco Tapes, arrived in June, which showed a softer side of the band and some of their hard-rocking, irreverent tracks.
The group is currently concluding an Australian tour run, with shows scheduled for October 31st at Festival Hall in West Melbourne; November 1st at Foreshore Park in Newcastle as part of the Strummingbird Festival; and November 2nd at Claremont Showgrounds in Perth. They return to the U.S. for a performance on November 7th in Phoenix, Arizona.
“West Texas Degenerate” will be out everywhere on Friday, November 28th.
