The Red Clay Strays are set to release their highly anticipated new album, Made by These Moments, on July 26th through RCA Records. Fans can pre-order and pre-save the album now. To celebrate the announcement, the band has released a new song, “Wanna Be Loved,” accompanied by an official music video available for viewing and sharing today.
Produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb, known for his work with Chris Stapleton and Jason Isbell, Made by These Moments was recorded at Cobb’s Georgia Mae studio in Savannah. The album showcases the band’s signature blend of electric rock and roll with southern soul across eleven tracks, exploring themes of faith, love, and redemption.
Lead singer Brandon Coleman explains, “Made by These Moments shines a light on overcoming the battles we face in life like loneliness, depression, and hopelessness. We hope you listen and recognize that our pain has a purpose.”
In conjunction with the album release, The Red Clay Strays will make their late-night television debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon tomorrow, May 23rd. The band will also embark on an extensive tour this fall, including headline shows at Brooklyn’s Brooklyn Paramount, Los Angeles’ The Wiltern, Boston’s Roadrunner, Philadelphia’s The Fillmore, Atlanta’s Coca-Cola Roxy, Denver’s Mission Ballroom, and San Diego’s SOMA. Pre-sale tickets for the fall tour will be available starting Tuesday, May 28 at 9:00 AM local time, with general on-sale following on Friday, May 31st at 10:00 AM local time at redclaystrays.com.
The new dates expand The Red Clay Strays’ already packed 2024 tour schedule, which includes sold-out shows at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium in September and appearances at major festivals such as Boston Calling, Railbird Festival, Windy City Smokeout, and Austin City Limits. Additionally, they will be supporting The Rolling Stones at Foxborough’s Gillette Stadium.
Formed in Mobile, Alabama, in 2016, The Red Clay Strays—comprising Brandon Coleman (lead vocals, guitar), Drew Nix (electric guitar, vocals, harmonica), Zach Rishel (electric guitar), Andrew Bishop (bass), and John Hall (drums)—are experiencing a breakout year. They are nominated for Emerging Act of the Year at the 2024 Americana Music Awards and continue to see success with their single “Wondering Why,” which has garnered over 100 million streams and topped various charts.
