Earlier today, Sturgill Simpson quietly revealed his “Who The Fuck Is Johnny Blue Skies?” tour dates. The tour, which promises to showcase Simpson’s unique blend of outlaw country, rock, and soul, will kick off on April 5th in Durant, OK, and will travel across the United States, wrapping up on September 13th in Louisville, KY. Notably, there will be no opening acts for this tour, living up to Simpson’s philosophy: “If You’re On Time, You’re Late.”
The tour’s title refers to Sturg’s enigmatic alter ego “Johnny Blue Skies,” the name under which he released his latest album “Passage Du Desir.” As far as this tour goes, there’s no word as to whether he’ll play his older music or not.
Tickets for the “Who The Fuck Is Johnny Blue Skies?” 2025 Tour are expected to sell out quickly, given Simpson’s enigmatic reputation, and the unfortunate fact that no one knows when or if Sturg wants to go out on tour beyond these dates.
