This morning, RaeLynn announced that she has filed for divorce from her husband, Josh Davis, bringing an end to the couple’s 10-year marriage. The singer confirmed the news in a public statement shared Tuesday (July 14th), describing the decision:
“After much thought and prayer, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce. This has not been an easy decision. As a working mom, I am committed to giving my daughter the love, stability, and support she will need while we navigate this next chapter together. I am grateful for the love and encouragement of my family, friends, and fans, and I respectfully ask for privacy as we move forward with grace and compassion.”
According to court records, RaeLynn, whose legal name is Racheal Davis, filed for divorce in Davidson County, Tennessee, on June 8th. The filing cites irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce. RaeLynn is also seeking to be named the primary residential parent of the couple’s daughter, Daisy Rae.
RaeLynn and Davis married in February 2016 after becoming engaged the previous year. The pair first met at church in 2012 before reconnecting at a mutual friend’s wedding, eventually beginning a relationship that continued through Davis’ military service and RaeLynn’s rise in country music. They welcomed their daughter, Daisy Rae, in September 2021.
The Texas native first gained national attention as a contestant on Season 2 of The Voice under coach Blake Shelton before launching a successful country career with hits including “God Made Girls,” “Love Triangle,” and “Lonely Call.” In recent years, she has continued releasing new music and touring while balancing her career with motherhood.
Neither RaeLynn nor Davis has publicly commented beyond the singer’s statement, and the divorce proceedings remain ongoing.
