This morning, Ole 60 revealed their next single, “Really Wanna Know,” scheduled for release on August 8th. The artist teased the upcoming track with an intriguing Instagram post, featuring a rugged cardboard backdrop adorned with a cigarette, a bottle cap, and the handwritten title. In a brief statement, Ole 60 described the song as “a special one,” expressing hope that listeners will enjoy it.

Hailing from Hawesville, Kentucky, Ole 60 is a five-piece band that has quickly risen to prominence since their formation about six years ago. The group began as an informal collaboration between Jacob Young and Tristan Roby, who met through a mutual friend in Owensboro. Initially jamming in a shed in Maceo, the duo bonded over their love for music, eventually naming themselves Ole 60 after the highway connecting their hometowns. Their lineup expanded with the addition of lead guitarist Ryan Laslie, introduced via his brother Bradley, owner of Galaxy Pizza in Hawesville, where the trio practiced after hours. Drummer Aden Wood and bassist Colby Clark later joined, solidifying the band’s current roster.

Ole 60 first gained widespread attention with their 2023 debut EP, Three Twenty Four, which unexpectedly topped Apple Music’s country album charts, outpacing Morgan Wallen and Zach Bryan. The EP’s single “Smoke & a Light” became a viral hit, amassing over 150 million streams.

“Really Wanna Know” will be out everywhere next Friday.
