Morgan Wallen’s hit song, “Last Night” was the #1 most streamed song in 2023 with 1.016 billion on-demand streams. This marked the biggest calendar year in audio streams for any song in history. “Last Night” surpassed Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road.”
Wallen’s single was released in January of 2023 when it immediately became a massive hit. The track has dominated the charts ever since. It spent much of the year in the number-one slot on the Billboard Hot 100. It initially reached the top of the charts in March and spent 16 weeks there. It was the longest streak ever for a non-collaboration.
“Last Night” was a single off of Wallen’s One Thing at a Time album that was released in March. Wallen’s record was one of the more successful ones we’ve seen in some time. It followed his Dangerous album which was released in 2021 and is still streaming extremely well.
Wallen also headlined his “One Night at a Time” Tour that will continue into 2024. He capped off most shows with “Last Night” as it is an obvious fan-favorite. The single was far and away the most streamed country song with the next closest being Luke Combs’ “Fast Car” which had around 500 million streams.
If history is any indication, “Last Night” isn’t going anywhere anytime soon as Wallen is in for yet another big year.
