Morgan Wallen Shares “Been By Now” Release Date

Morgan Wallen will release his new single “Been By Now” this Friday, July 24th, the singer confirmed by sharing a presave link to his Instagram story. The announcement follows a raw, piano-driven version of the song Wallen posted to Instagram two days earlier, captioned with a nod to releasing it before “the boats get winterized.” By contrast, the original follows the breezy, alt-pop formula of recent singles like “Love Somebody.”

The song centers on a couple drifting toward the end of a relationship, weighing whether the connection was ever meant to last in the first place. Wallen first teased the track back in June during CMA Fest weekend, and has since referenced it multiple times, including during a show at Chicago’s Soldier Field, before a presave link quietly went up without further comment.

The upcoming release follows Wallen’s comments back in April, when he confirmed to Sirius XM’s The Highway that he was sitting on seven or eight completed singles and was ready to start rolling out “sneak peeks” of them. “Been By Now” appears to be the first of that batch to reach an official release date.

“Been By Now” will be out everywhere this Friday.
