Morgan Wallen has confirmed that his upcoming single “Lies Lies Lies” will be released to streaming services on July 4th. The announcement came during a stop in Virginia Beach on the One Night at a Time Tour before Wallen began singing the new track, something he’s done several times throughout the current leg of the tour.
This track first came on fans’ radar in March when Wallen dropped a series of acoustic renditions from his third album, One Thing at a Time, recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London. The song quickly garnered the attention of Wallen fans everywhere, given it was the first new material from the “Last Night” singer of the year. To date, the acoustic version of “Lies Lies Lies” has racked up over 17 million views.
Wallen has had a massively busy year already. In January, he released an acoustic version of his 2015 song “Spin You Around” following a dispute with his former label. In February, it was announced that his bar, This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen, would open in downtown Nashville during the summer of 2024. The bar weathered several hiccups in its opening process, but it eventually opened earlier this month.
Wallen has enjoyed plenty of attention on the Billboard charts, where he currently sits at #1 on the Hot 100 thanks to his collaboration with Post Malone titled “I Had Some Help.” The song has been streamed over 216 million times since it was released on May 10th, following a series of teasers that helped the track gain exceptional levels of hype across platforms.
Notably, Wallen has yet to share the official cover art for “Lies Lies Lies.”
