This morning, Morgan Wade revealed on Instagram that her fourth album, The Party Is Over (Recovered) will be released on August 1st. Produced by her band leader and guitarist Clint Wells, the album revisits early demos and unreleased tracks while introducing new songs, blending nostalgia with fresh creativity. The title track, “The Party Is Over,” dropped today and is available for streaming everywhere.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Wade expressed gratitude to her longtime fans: “A lot of you have been here for a long time… before I ever put out my debut record. You heard songs that were demos and early recordings that no longer exist. I wanted to put these songs back into the world and give them life again… While these songs might be new to a lot of you, they are old friends to some of you — definitely old friends to me.”

Following her decidedly more downbeat 2024 LP Obsessed, also produced by Wells, Wade continues to captivate with her raw, introspective songwriting. Wells, a Nashville-based musician signed to Rough Trade Publishing, brings his signature stripped-down production to highlight Wade’s emotive vocals and storytelling. The new album promises to honor her roots, reviving tracks familiar to early supporters while welcoming new listeners with fresh material.

Wade’s rise from Floyd, Virginia, to Nashville’s spotlight has been marked by critical acclaim for her 2021 debut Reckless and subsequent releases Psychopath and Obsessed. The Party Is Over (Recovered) is poised to be a powerful addition, blending her past and present.

The Party Is Over (Recovered) will be out everywhere on August 1st.
