Clint Black and Midland have announced a joint eight-show fall tour, with dates running through October across the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic parts of the country. Tickets go on sale to the public this Friday, June 5th, at 10 a.m. local time, with select artist and local presales beginning tomorrow.

The pairing is a natural one. Black and Midland are already set to appear together on “Up In Texas,” a duet on Midland’s upcoming album Stages, due June 12th. The tour extends that collaboration to the stage, bringing together an artist whose career defined the country class of 1989 and a trio that has spent the past decade reviving the traditional sounds Black helped popularize.

Black’s catalog includes 22 number one singles and 31 top ten hits, all of which he wrote or co-wrote — among them “Killin’ Time,” “A Better Man,” and “Like the Rain.” He has sold over 20 million records and is currently being honored by the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum with a career-spanning exhibition, Clint Black: The Hard Way On Purpose.

Midland, meanwhile, has built their reputation around thick harmonies and pedal steel-driven traditionalism, anchored by their humongous breakout single “Drinkin’ Problem.’

The eight-show run marks a rare extended collaboration between the two acts. Further details about support acts have not been announced.
