Luke Combs revealed plans on Tuesday evening to release a three-song EP titled The Prequel this Friday, October 3rd, offering fans an early taste of his forthcoming full-length album, slated for release in early 2026.

Combs wrote, “still working on my new album that’ll be out early next year, but 3 songs from it are ready now and I couldn’t wait to get y’all some new music, so I’m releasing them this Friday, October 3, as The Prequel. Songs will be Days Like These, 15 Minutes, and My Kinda Saturday Night, which next year’s tour will be named after. I’ll have more news on that very soon.”

The tracks, and their respective writers, are as follows:

  • “My Kinda Saturday Night,” co-written by Combs, Randy Montana and Jonathan Singleton.
  • “15 Minutes,” co-written by Combs, Trey Pendley, Rob Pennington and Grant Vogel.
  • “Days Like These,” co-written by Combs, Brent Cobb and Aaron Raitiere.

This past week, Luke Combs previously teased “Days Like These” when he and his wife, Nicole, revealed that they’re expecting their third child later this year. Luke also shared a snippet of “My Kinda Saturday Night” to Instagram a few months ago, which his official fan club had already confirmed would be out this week. Thus far, he hasn’t shared any teasers of “15 Minutes” on social media.

The Prequel will be out everywhere this Friday.
