Luke Combs has become the first artist to have three certified Diamond country singles by the RIAA. “When It Rains It Pours” and “Hurricane” have become the most recent singles to become certified Diamond and the 10th and 11th country singles to reach that accomplishment. For a song to become certified Diamond, it has to sell over 10 million units.  The two songs will join “Beautiful Crazy,” which was certified Diamond last year.

The 2x entertainer of the year was surprised with five new certifications. Combs’s 2022 album Gettin’ Old became certified Platinum, and his 2019 album What You See Is What You Get became certified 5X Platinum. His Grammy-nominated version of the Tracy Chapman hit “Fast Car” was also certified 5X Platinum.

Other country songs to reach the prestigious level of success include Darius Rucker’s “Wagon Wheel,” Florida Georgia Line’s “Cruise,” Kane Brown’s “Heaven,” Chris Stapleton’s “Tennessee Whiskey,” and just a few more. A song becoming certified Diamond is a massive accomplishment, and it isn’t shocking to see Luke Combs become the first country artist to have done it three times.

Fans can catch Combs on the road on one of the few dates he has left to play this year. Ticket information is available on his website.
