Kip Moore Unveils New Album “Solitary Tracks”

Kip Moore
P.J. Brown

Today, Kip Moore revealed that his sixth studio album, Solitary Tracks, will be released on February 28th. This record marks an interesting milestone in Moore’s career as his first fully independent album, showcasing his continued dedication to creative freedom and doing things his own way. In conjunction with this announcement, he also shared the song “Bad Spot,” the fifth pre-released single from this record.

From the tracklist, the album appears to be divided into four separate “sides,” A through D, spanning 23 songs in total. At this point, it’s unclear how these sides affect the overall themes and moods of the record. For that matter, Kip has shared very little about this project in general, including the motivation to release this record independently or much about its overall inspiration.

Even though this album sees Kip going it alone without much promotion, a few things remain the same: he’s still wholly disinterested in radio success and keeps the same country-rock color pallet, albeit with more rugged production than his last full-length effort, “Damn Love.”

Solitary Tracks will be available everywhere on February 28th.
