Kenny Chesney has announced Silver Sands Marina, his 21st studio album, due out September 25th via his newly launched independent label, Hey Now Records.
Produced by Chesney and longtime collaborator Buddy Cannon, the 11-track project marks his first release on Hey Now Records. The album features songs written by Tony Lane, Matraca Berg, Shane McAnally, Brett James, Jessie Jo Dillon, Tenille Townes, and Adam Wright, with guest appearances from Colbie Caillat, Lily Meola, and Megan Moroney.
The album is spearheaded by its title track, described in a press release as “a silky midtempo that matches the momentum of an unlikely connection in an off-season, off-the-beaten-path place as an afternoon turns into a long night, an early morning flight and a memory that will last a lifetime.”
“It is such a well-written song,” Chesney said in a statement. “You can smell the fall in the air, the lake and that solitude. Everyone’s so busy rushing, you miss most of the small details — and everything that happens around them. These kinds of moments you couldn’t make happen, that’s the magic.”
Silver Sands Marina follows the single “Carry On,” which marked Chesney’s 100th entry on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Chesney is currently in the middle of his second residency at Sphere in Las Vegas. He is a 2025 Country Music Hall of Fame inductee whose exhibit opens next month. He will host a TalkShopLive session on July 15 to discuss the album, where signed copies will also be available.
