The release of “Too Good To Be True” marks the first taste of what fans can expect from Kacey’s ethereal fifth studio album, which is set to drop on March 15th. With its evocative storytelling and undeniable charm, the single serves as a tantalizing glimpse into the musical journey Musgraves is set to take listeners on with her latest project.
In her announcement on X, Kacey teased the lyrics “Please don’t make me regret opening up that part of myself that I’ve been scared to give again. Be good to me and I’ll be good to you — but please don’t be too good to be true.”

Since her monster 2019 LP Golden Hour, Kacey Musgraves has enjoyed massive crossover success blending her country influences with indie-pop and folk music. Though her fourth record star-crossed leaned into darker, more densely-produced styles, Deeper Well looks to be a return to the wistful folksiness of Golden Hour.
