This morning Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan announced four co-headlining stadium dates for the “Double Down Tour.” The expansion follows their sold-out show at UGA’s Sanford Stadium last Friday, where the two Georgia natives performed in front of 63,000 fans.
A rotating cast of openers, Gavin Adcock, Dasha, Chase Matthew, Jon Pardi, Dylan Scott, and Lauren Watkins — will support across select dates, with DJs Dee Jay Silver and DJ Rock appearing at every show.
“If our time in Georgia was a barometric measurement of what’s ahead, these shows with Jason will make it one of the best touring years of my life,” Bryan said in a statement. Aldean echoed the sentiment, noting that the two have been friends and peers for over two decades. “Playing UGA was just a preview of what’s coming for the rest of these shows,” he said.
The announcement comes during a busy stretch for both artists. Aldean released his 12th studio album, Songs About Us, last week, which includes his 31st career number one single and a title-track duet with Bryan. He is also set to launch a separate headlining tour in July. Bryan, meanwhile, wraps his ninth season as a judge on American Idol before kicking off his own headline “Word On The Street Tour” on May 29th.
Fan club presales for the Double Down Tour begin Wednesday, May 6. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, May 8 at 10 a.m. local time at JasonAldean.com and LukeBryan.com.
