In an Instagram post shared earlier this week, Gavin Adcock posted his mugshot alongside a caption that reads:

“I bought my dream car.. a 1973 Dodge Challenger. Over the past few months I’ve been putting money into it, getting it running as good as new, and decided I wanted to take it for a joy ride. The car ran great. I got pulled over and arrested for reckless driving going 103 in Wilson County, TN.”

This marks Adcock’s first public statement since the May 21st arrest. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Adcock was arrested at 11:15PM on the night of the 21st, and posted a $1,000 bond for a reckless driving charge the following morning. Adcock faced no bond requirement for his reported open container violation.

Gavin Adcock is known for his rowdy, unapologetic energy, and while there’s nothing clean-cut about the Georgia native, fans are drawn to his sheer charisma and authenticity. His mugshot grin says it all: reckless, unbothered, and entirely on brand.

Last night, Adcock announced his new single “Morning Bail,” set for release this Friday, May 30th. In today’s statement, he mentioned the new track, explaining, “I wrote this song a few months back and planned to put it out on the album, but I figured there’s no better time than now.” Based on last night’s snippet, the song draws from the same themes of chaos and consequence that now mirror his real-life circumstances making creative use of a moment that could have easily remained a PR headache.

“Morning Bail” releases this Friday on all platforms.
