On March 19th, Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley of Florida Georgia Line performed together at the Country Radio Seminar, marking their first public musical appearance since the group’s 2022 hiatus.
With Jason Aldean in attendance, the pair delivered an acoustic rendition of “You Make It Easy,” the 2018 hit they co-wrote with Morgan Wallen and Jordan Schmidt, which Aldean recorded and took to #1 on Billboard’s country airplay chart.
Florida Georgia Line announced an indefinite hiatus in February 2022 following a decade of success that included multi-platinum singles such as “Cruise,” “H.O.L.Y.” and “Meant To Be” with Bebe Rexha. Their final performance took place in September of that year at the Minnesota State Fair.
The split stemmed from differing career directions, particularly Kelley’s interest in pursuing solo projects. In a December 2025 appearance on the Human School Podcast, Hubbard described the decision as rooted in professional boundaries rather than personal conflict. He noted Kelley’s commitment to a solo path after a song pitch to Kenny Chesney did not advance, stating, “BK stuck to his convictions and led with his gut… I set a boundary.”
Both artists have since built solo careers. Hubbard, signed to Big Loud Records, has released singles such as “5 Foot 9” and “Dancing In the Country” along with his 2023 self-titled album. For his part, Kelley has released two installments of “Sunshine State of Mind” beach country LPs.
Recent comments indicate efforts to rebuild their friendship. Hubbard said in late 2025, “I have a desire for that friendship… I miss the guy I was partners with for 10 years… We need to repair… and spend some time together face-to-face… I’m excited for that.”
Kelley, in a February interview with Country Outdoors, remarked, “Right now I think just working on our brotherhood is kind of top-tier most important for us… If I do think about it, it does excite me… I think the options are endless right now.”
No formal reunion plans have been announced, though the CRS performance has renewed fan discussion about potential future collaboration.
