Flatland Cavalry have announced their newest album Wandering Star will be released October 27th. The announcement comes following the release of their latest single, “Mornings With You” featuring Kaitlin Butts.
This is Flatland Cavalry’s fourth full-length album, following their last release Far Out West Sessions. This is their first release on their record deal with Interscope, one of the biggest labels in all of music. They’ve released three singles ahead of the album, all available on streaming platforms now.
One of the biggest bands out of the Texas red dirt scene, Flatland Cavalry has taken on a new generation of fans similar to the tune of Turnpike Troubadours. Frontman Cleto Cordero, worked on a Texas super group, The Panhandlers, with William Clark Green, Josh Abbott, and John Baumann; all titans of the genre in their own right. They’ve also collaborated frequently with Cordero’s wife Kaitlin Butts on songs with Butts lending her voice for numerous harmonies in previous albums.
Flatland Cavalry has been on a meteoric rise as of late. Touring with Luke Combs’ on his latest world tour, has been gaining lots of exposure to a wider audience. The band just added new dates to their current tour with a stop in Nashville at the coveted Ryman Auditorium.
