Ella Langley announced today that she’s releasing a new song called “you look like you love me” with Riley Green this Friday, June 21st. The song comes as the latest pre-released single from Ella’s forthcoming debut album hungover, which is slated for release on August 2nd.
Ella Langley, known for her gritty rock edge and relatable lyrics, has already shared a number of duets with the likes of Koe Wetzel and Kameron Marlowe, showcasing her range and collaborative nature. Riley Green, with his down-to-earth storytelling and traditional country sound, doesn’t have very many duets in his catalog, and this love song looks like a cool change of pace for the Alabama native.
Since the pair teased a snippet of the song shot at the iconic Colorado concert venue Red Rocks this past weekend, anticipation for this tune has never been higher. “you look like you love me” has a jangly honky tonk sound, which takes Ella out of her comfort zone a bit, and bridges the gap between Ella’s pop-rock take on country music with Riley Green’s 2000s-indebted, throwback sound.
Ella is currently on the road with some of country music’s biggest names, including Riley Green and HARDY. She’ll also be striking out on her own this Fall on the hungover tour in support of her LP of the same name.
