Kentucky native Dillon Carmichael announced today that he’ll release his third studio album, Keepin’ Country Alive, on June 13th. The 14-track project builds on previously released singles like the title track, “No Matter How Hard I Try,” and his latest, “Raised Up Wrong.” Overall album is expected to from Carmichael’s rural upbringing, focusing on themes of family, community, and small-town life.
Carmichael is the nephew of country artists John Michael Montgomery and Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery. Raised in Burgin, Kentucky, he began performing as a teenager, honing his craft in local bars and talent competitions. His deep, resonant voice and knack for authentic storytelling caught attention early, leading him to Nashville to pursue a career in music. In 2018, he debuted with Hell On An Angel, produced by country super-producer Dave Cobb. The album earned critical acclaim for its raw, traditional sound, with reviewers noting Carmichael’s ability to channel the genre’s roots while forging his own path. Since then, Carmichael has enjoyed top 25 singles like “Son Of A” and “Drinkin’ Problems,” and shared the stage with the likes of Luke Bryan, Cody Johnson, and Dwight Yoakam.
Keepin’ Country Alive will be out everywhere on June 13th.
