2024 CMA Nominations Announced, Morgan Wallen Leads

The Country Music Association has announced its list of nominations for the 2024 CMA Awards, and the "Last Night" singer leads the pack with seven.

The Country Music Association announced the nominations for the 2024 CMA Awards this morning, and Morgan Wallen leads the way with the most nominations this year, with seven. Cody Johnson and Chris Stapleton each have five nominations; Post Malone and Lainey Wilson have four; Luke Combs, Jelly Roll, Megan Moroney, and Kacey Musgraves have three.

Nominees in Group of the Year and Duo of the Year have remained the same except for newcomer The Red Clay Strays being included in their first major award show.

The 2024 CMA Awards will air live on ABC on Wednesday, Nov. 20th .

Last year, Lainey Wilson led the field with nine nominations and the most individual wins. “Fast Car” took home song of the year and single of the year despite being won by two different people. Tracy Chapman initially wrote the song in the 80s and went through a major rebirth when Luke Combs put out a cover of it in 2023 for his Gettin’ Old album. Unfortunately, Morgan Wallen left the award show empty-handed that year despite being nominated three times.
