Chase Rice announced on his Instagram that he will release his new song “Fireside” this Friday, May 10th.

“Fireside” will be his first release since the success of his album I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell. According to Rice, he isn’t straying too far away from the sound he created on that record. “My last album was the start of a whole new creative life for me. A lot of people ask if my next one will be similar; the short answer is yes. This next album for me will be a bit of a continuation to close out this new process of how I write songs and record them,” Rice stated in his announcement.

He also announced that “Fireside” will be the first look into his upcoming project. This song will have a theme that is similar to his last album. It will reflect on how he became who he is today and who helped to influence him.

Part of what made I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell so good was the growth that he demonstrated as an artist. It looks like Rice will build off that growth by sticking to what worked with that project.

“Fireside” will be available everywhere on May 10th.
