After much anticipation, Carly Pearce and Riley Green have announced a new duet, “If I Don’t Leave I’m Gonna Stay,” set for release March 13th.
The song marks the pair’s first official collaboration and follows several days of social media teasers hinting at the project. Short preview clips from an upcoming music video show Pearce and Green in intimate scenes, including shots of the two lounging together and sharing affectionate moments, suggesting a romantic storyline tied to the track.
Fans have been anticipating a studio collaboration since Pearce previously joined Green onstage to perform his hit “Don’t Mind If I Do,” a pairing that drew attention for the duo’s onstage chemistry. The new release appears to build on that connection, with promotional snippets presenting a cinematic and emotionally charged vibe.
The duet arrives as Pearce prepares to launch her next album era. Her forthcoming fifth studio album is reportedly complete, with the singer describing the project as rooted in classic country influences and Appalachian sounds. The new material follows her 2024 album Hummingbird and its expanded 2025 edition; she also released recent singles including “Church Girl” and “Dream Come True.”
Green, meanwhile, has remained active at country radio and on the road. His recent releases include the single “Change My Mind,” issued in January from the expanded version of Don’t Mind If I Do, which also produced multiple hit collaborations in recent years. He is continuing to tour behind the record, including dates on his 2026 “Cowboy As It Gets” run and festival appearances such as Stagecoach.
“If I Don’t Leave I’m Gonna Stay” will out everywhere on March 13th.
