Brad Paisley has launched a new ongoing music project called Tacklebox, releasing its first song, “Fallin’,” today across all streaming platforms. The project draws from two sources: a catalog of unreleased and unrecorded songs dating back to the 1990s, and newly written material inspired by that same era and the sounds of artists like Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, Alabama, George Strait, and Garth Brooks. Additional songs from Tacklebox will be released later this week.

“I see this project as never-ending,” Paisley said in a statement. “It’s almost like the fans have a direct link to my Dropbox or to a playlist that never ends. This project gave us a license to dig back into the catalog of songs that were never released, that feel like a time period, a style of writing, a sound, and nostalgia.” The sessions were recorded at The Castle in Franklin, Tennessee, the same studio where several of his early albums were made.

On the road front, Paisley has announced a new run of dates dubbed the “Brad Paisley Live” tour. The newly added dates kick off August 27th in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and represent a significant extension of an already busy year of touring.

The newly announced fall leg spans nine weeks and traverses the east coast and the midwest; fan club presales begin Tuesday, May 12th at 10 a.m. local time, with all tickets available at BradPaisley.com.
