Bailey Zimmerman is facing felony and misdemeanor criminal charges in New Mexico after an alleged incident on May 27 at Sandia Resort and Casino in Albuquerque, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ. Prosecutors in Bernalillo County filed criminal papers seeking an arrest warrant against the country singer on June 18th.

The charges include felony criminal damage to property and a misdemeanor count of falsely obtaining services. The incident preceded a scheduled performance at the resort’s amphitheater, which Zimmerman ultimately canceled that evening.

According to the affidavit, security personnel at the hotel reported that Zimmerman appeared intoxicated throughout the evening. During sound check, authorities say he was stumbling and acting belligerently onstage, throwing microphones, tossing cymbals, and knocking over part of the drum kit. He allegedly stormed off stage multiple times before leaving sound check altogether.

The documents further allege that as Zimmerman was preparing to leave the stage area, he spit toward a nearby security officer and complained about the color of the vehicle provided for his transport before eventually complying. Upon returning to the resort, he was reportedly stumbling badly enough that his shoe came off and he had to be supported by a member of his group.

After the show was canceled, the resort asked Zimmerman to leave. He allegedly refused transportation provided by the hotel, prompting staff to contact law enforcement. He eventually cooperated, boarded a bus, and was escorted off the property.

Housekeeping discovered the room heavily damaged the following day, with estimated repairs totaling more than $16,000. The alleged damage included a television, phone, coffee table, two chairs, a hole in one wall, additional wall damage, carpet staining, and two missing chairs. The hotel also reported more than $400 in alcohol charges billed to the room that were never paid.

Resort staff and law enforcement attempted to contact Zimmerman and his team following the incident but received no response, according to the documents, leading to the arrest warrant being issued.

Zimmerman’s team had not issued a public statement at the time of this report.
