Bailey Zimmerman Announces New Song “New To Country”

AJ Castle

Fresh off of his first headlining tour, rising star Bailey Zimmerman is gearing up to release his latest single, “New To Country,” on Friday, June 28th. With a production style reminiscent of 2014 hits by Brantley Gilbert and Jason Aldean, Zimmerman’s track promises to blend the gritty edge of rock with the heartfelt storytelling of country, creating a sound that is both refreshing and real to his upbringing.

The song’s lyrics, which celebrate staying true to one’s roots and the unchanging essence of being country boy, are a bit of a topical departure for Bailey Zimmerman, who spent much of his last LP in a melancholy frame of mind. Though his last single “Holy Smokes” signaled a continuation of RELIGIOUSLY: THE ALBUM’s mid-tempo production and nostalgic musings, “New To Country” is definitely a fresh change of pace for the young star. The loud, bro-country hook definitely suits his southern drawl, and the single promises to play well in a live environment.

As of yet, there’s no info about when Zimmerman will release his next full-length LP, but with two singles out in the world, it feels like a pretty safe bet that an announcement could be on the way shortly. In the meantime, Bailey is currently touring the country alongside Morgan Wallen on the “One Thing At a Time” tour, as well as on a few select festival dates. Tickets are available on his website.

“New To Country” will be available everywhere this Friday, June 28th.
