Country-rock band 49 Winchester announced their fifth studio album “Leavin’ This Holler,” which will be released August 2nd. They also shared a new single “Yearnin’ For You,” which is available everywhere today, April 9th (or “4/9 day,” as the band pointed out). The album’s title track features a duet with another rising star out of Virginia, singer-songwriter Maggie Antone.
In the last couple of years, the Virginian troubadours have made serious waves in and out of the Appalachian country music scene, especially on the strength of their most recent LP, Fortune Favors the Bold, and the accompanying stand-out single “Russell County Line.” Recently, 49 Winchester has enjoyed a number of mainstream opportunities; together, they’ve performed at the Grand Ole Opry and made their TV debut on the Kelly Clarkson show. The band is also currently slated to perform at CMA Fest and Stagecoach.
