In a cool surprise for fans of traditional country and bluegrass music alike, country music wunderkind Zach Top has announced a new collaborative EP with his buddy Billy Strings. Titled “Me & Billy (Live)”, this new EP is set to drop on February 28th, continuing the dynamic duo’s trend of blending their musical talents into something uniquely captivating.
The announcement comes on the heels of their successful collaboration in November 2024, where they released a three-song live EP exclusively for Apple Music. That project featured reimagined versions of Zach Top’s originals, “Bad Luck” and “Things To Do,” alongside a cover of Ricky Skaggs’s classic, “Don’t Cheat In Our Home Town.” While details on the tracklist for “Me & Billy (Live)” remain under wraps, the anticipation is already mounting.
Zach Top, known for his throwback honky-tonk sound with his debut album “Cold Beer & Country Music,” has been making waves on the country music scene, even on the mainstream with prominent opening slots and award show nominations. Billy Strings, on the other hand, has been a consistent force in the bluegrass world, with his latest album, “Live Vol. 1,” earning him another Grammy for Best Bluegrass album earlier this year.
Me & Billy (Live) will be out everywhere on February 28th.
