After some time of coded messages and videos on their social media platforms, Whiskey Myers has announced their album Whomp Whack Thunder will be released September 26th. The lead single from the album is available now with the band set to debut the song at Stagecoach on April 25th.

Between their own “What We Were Born To Do” tour and co-headlining dates with Tedeschi Trucks Band, Whiskey Myers will be all over the country this summer stacked with many dates. Fans can purchase tickets through their website or second hand ticketing platforms.

The group spent three weeks immersed in the music working with producer Jay Joyce to harness their specific sound. Released through Wiggy Thump Records, the project is said to channel “the spirit of classic rock through a modern Southern lens.”

“We didn’t set out to chase a specific sound—we set out to make a Whiskey Myers record,” reflects lead guitarist John Jeffers. “Jay pulled something out of us that’s raw and real, and every track’s got a piece of our story in it. This album’s about where we’ve been, what we’ve lived and the scars we earned along the way – and I think Whomp Whack Thunder might just be our most fearless album yet.”

Frontman Cody Cannon penned all eleven tracks on his own and provided the listener with stories of heavy emotional weight but also the raw fire power that the band is known for.
